Swine Fest 08...

Its almost time for the second annual Swine Fest pig roast hosted by a friend of mine. Mumbles and I both compete for the tee shirt design for this. He won last year which is ok because I didnt even go. Here is my design for this years teeshirt.

Here's two more VRE drawing from this week. The one lady was asleep when I got on, and she was asleep when I got off.

All Aboard...

I decided to go partially green by riding the train to and from work everyday. It is so relaxing to sit back and let someone else do the driving. Plus I get to bring my sketchbook with me everyday and draw unsuspecting people sitting on he train. Here are a few of the ones I liked from the past few days. One of these people was actually doing some drawing of his own. He had an entire set of markers out and was drawing what looked to be Spiderman.

Reclining Friend...

My friend and I storyboarded for a film shoot yesterday and our role during the shoot was to stay out of everyones way... he slept and I drew. And watercolored.

Gone Fishing...

We went out to Jones Point after work yesterday to see what we could catch. The fish weren't biting. Roarke got his line tangled in a tree and I drew him. To me that is what fishing is about, hanging out with friends, drinking a beer, and drawing in my sketchbook. Catching a fish has always been a rarity.

My friend asked me to design a beer label for him. Apparently he brews his own beer out of his garage and gives it to friends and family. It's called gingerbread pirate. I did a slew of sketches for this that I will post when I have them all scanned in. I am still not sure if i picked the best pose out of the bunch. Hope it tastes good, I'll know in a few weeks.

Honeymoon in Hawaii...

I just returned with my lovely wife from two fantastic weeks in Hawaii. I brought my sketchbook and travel watercolor set to document it. Christina brought the camera.

This is an illo for a card i made for my ringbearers and flower girl. The wedding is in two days, at least thats what google has been telling me. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Bachelor trip...

This is the only drawing i did during my deep sea fishing bachelor trip. That's my pal Kev catching more Zs than fish. Unfortunately the fish weren't really biting much that day. The First Mate said that we should have been there yesterday.

Sketchbook so Forgiving...

This weekend I tried out my new moleskine sketchbook. Love it, love it, love it. The paper is so nice and smooth....and yellow. My other 'current' sketchbook has a textured paper that rips and shreds everytime I try to erase.
